Kalshi becomes World Cup partner and signs Mexican goalkeeper Ochoa
Prediction market platform Kalshi has become an official World Cup partner alongside ADI Predictstreet, the FIFA tournament's designated prediction market partner. The branding and product collaboration, announced June 26, combines Kalshi's regulated exchange infrastructure with ADI Predictstreet's official FIFA rights. Separately, Kalshi announced a partnership with veteran Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, marking his sixth World Cup appearance. Kalshi reported elevated trading activity in the tournament's first two weeks and has logged record World Cup volume. The deals expand Kalshi's sports event contract lineup beyond its existing offerings and come as the platform pursues growth toward an eventual IPO.
Kalshi's FIFA and Ochoa partnerships give it official World Cup branding that Polymarket cannot match, potentially diverting retail soccer traffic to the CFTC-registered venue. If the platform converts that visibility into sustained volume, it narrows the liquidity gap that Polymarket's $2 billion soccer run has opened.
This FIFA partnership and Ochoa signing extend Kalshi's World Cup push that already includes an Argentina national team deal, as the platform stacks official relationships to compete with Polymarket's Liga MX tie and $2 billion soccer volume.
