Prediction News is the home for information on the prediction markets industry.
We cover stories spanning the legal and regulatory landscape, market trends, trading strategies, and more happenings within the rapidly growing industry.
We hope to educate readers on how to navigate prediction markets, as well as objectively show their shortcomings. We also think there are some really captivating stories behind prediction markets, too many of which are not currently being told.
In short, we aim to make the complexities of prediction markets more accessible to everyone — from casual observers to serious traders — with original, in-depth reporting.
Editorial policies
How we source stories
We aggregate prediction-market coverage from a wide range of publishers — major newswires, specialized industry outlets, regulator press feeds, and forecasting newsletters. New publishers we encounter are evaluated and added to our rotation when they meet our quality bar.
How we use AI
We use AI to summarize stories and produce a "Why this matters" line — a single sentence on the implication for prediction-market operators, traders, or regulators. Outputs are constrained by source-grounding rules: claims in our summary must appear in the source article. Anything that fails grounding goes to a review queue instead of being published.
Clustering and "First reported by"
Stories covering the same event are grouped together. Each cluster identifies the publisher who first broke the story separately from the most authoritative current source. When a major outlet later reports the same story, the credit for breaking it doesn't move.
Editorial gates
Stories pass through several quality checks before publication — topic relevance, source grounding, age limits, and publisher quality. Editors can override any decision and remove stories from the public site.
Corrections
Errors get fixed promptly. Material corrections to a cluster are visible on the cluster page; minor edits (typos, formatting) are not separately flagged. If you spot something wrong, emailnews@predictionnews.comwith "Correction" in the subject and we'll respond.
