Prospect Markets joins Crypto.com Derivatives North America as CFTC-regulated member

Published Aug 24, 2026Updated 4h ago

Prospect Prediction Markets Inc., a publicly traded prediction markets operator, has become a member of Crypto.com Derivatives North America through its subsidiary Prospect Trading USA LLC. The Vancouver-based company announced the membership on August 24, 2026. Crypto.com Derivatives North America is a CFTC-regulated U.S. exchange. The move advances Prospect's push into the U.S. prediction market through a regulated derivatives venue.

Why this matters?

Prospect gains CFTC-regulated distribution without building its own exchange infrastructure, a capital shortcut smaller prediction-market operators increasingly favor. Crypto.com Derivatives North America adds another prediction-market brand to its member roster, diversifying beyond its crypto-native base. For Kalshi and Polymarket, the partnership signals that exchange membership is becoming a commodity: new entrants can lease regulatory standing rather than earn it through years of CFTC engagement.

Prospect must now prove it can source volume and liquidity competitive with established venues, or it risks becoming a shell brand on someone else's rails. The real test is whether Crypto.com's clearing and matching systems can handle prediction-market flow at scale, or whether the infrastructure was built for crypto derivatives with event contracts grafted on.

The bigger picture

Crypto.com's U.S. derivatives platform is now the fourth prediction-market infrastructure venue to secure third-party distribution and clearing partnerships, after Kalshi's Cantor-Susquehanna institutional pipe, Gemini's Apex exclusive, and Trading Technologies' dual-venue setup.
