Polymarket becomes exclusive US prediction market partner of Liga MX
Polymarket has become the official and exclusive prediction market partner of Liga MX for the United States territory. The deal, announced June 10, 2026, coincides with the FIFA World Cup 2026 kickoff in Mexico City. Genius Sports, a NYSE-listed company, will supply official league data and integrity safeguards for the partnership. Liga MX is Mexico's top professional soccer league and among the most-viewed in North America. No financial terms or duration were disclosed. The arrangement extends Polymarket's push to embed itself with major sports properties through regulated, data-backed event contracts.
Polymarket now holds official league data relationships for both Liga MX and the World Cup broadcast cycle. If rivals like Kalshi and FanDuel Predicts cannot match comparable soccer federation tie-ins before the knockout stage, Polymarket will capture the bulk of tournament-related retail flow on CFTC-regulated venues.
The Liga MX deal becomes Polymarket's second major World Cup distribution play after its OneFootball and Bitget Wallet tie-up last week, as the platform battles Robinhood-Kalshi fragmentation for retail liquidity during the tournament.
