Kalshi partners with Comply to police insider trading on event contracts
Kalshi has partnered with Comply, a compliance technology firm, to monitor event contract trading for evidence of insider trading. The integration brings Kalshi trade data into the Comply Platform, enabling compliance teams to flag employee trades made on material, non-public information. Comply describes Kalshi as the world's largest prediction market. Both companies announced the partnership on August 4, 2026. The deal addresses a growing regulatory concern: the use of privileged information to trade on future events.
Regulators and prosecutors have begun treating prediction markets as securities markets for insider-trading purposes. The Comply integration lets Kalshi proactively screen for trades by employees at listed companies, government agencies, and sports leagues before headlines break. That shifts liability: a platform that can show it monitored for abuse is harder to sue for facilitating it.
Competitors without similar tooling face a steeper compliance climb if the CFTC or a state attorney general files a test case. Kalshi's move also raises the vendor bar for any exchange hoping to win brokerage partnerships — Robinhood, for instance, will ask its suppliers how they handle tainted flow. The partnership is a defensive investment that becomes offensive if it keeps Kalshi on broker shelves while rivals scramble to match.
The deal arrives as Robinhood actively courts a second prediction-market supplier alongside Kalshi, eroding first-mover advantages across the sector.
