Polymarket becomes official prediction market provider of ATP Tour
Polymarket has become the Official Prediction Market Provider of the ATP Tour under a deal announced August 3. The agreement gives Polymarket exclusive streaming rights for prediction markets in the United States. Users can watch roughly 20,000 ATP and Challenger Tour matches per season directly alongside related prediction markets. The integration pairs live tennis video with trading on the same events. Polymarket is the first major U.S. prediction market platform to secure such rights.
The ATP deal gives Polymarket a rights-backed moat that prediction market rivals cannot quickly replicate. Kalshi, Novig, and emerging platforms like FanDuel Predicts have pursued sports-league partnerships, but none has locked in streaming rights that keep users inside a single app for both viewing and trading. For Polymarket, the integration cuts user acquisition costs by converting tennis fans directly into traders at the moment of engagement.
The roughly 20,000 matches per season create repeat touchpoints that generic event contracts lack. Rivals now face a choice: pursue similarly expensive league deals or cede the live-sports vertical to Polymarket. The deal's value hinges on whether the CFTC permits sports event contracts to survive Congressional review; if federal restrictions arrive, Polymarket's sunk investment in ATP rights becomes harder to justify than a pure trading venue with lower fixed costs.
