BitMart US enters prediction markets through Plaee in CFTC-regulated push

Published Jun 14, 2026Updated 60d ago

BitMart US is entering prediction markets through a partnership with Plaee, a turnkey platform that provides access to CFTC-regulated event contracts, according to Plaee CEO Leon Okun. Plaee runs a Crypto.com-backed white-label model: partners plug into infrastructure that Crypto.com powers rather than building their own. That lets BitMart US offer compliant, regulated prediction-market products without standing up its own regulatory stack from scratch. The arrangement positions BitMart US among a small group of platforms offering CFTC-regulated event contracts in the United States, and marks the exchange's regulated expansion beyond spot crypto into event contracts. It also extends Plaee's push to sign partners onto its turnkey rails.

Why this matters?

For BitMart US, the win is speed to market: a CFTC-regulated event-contract product without the cost of building its own regulatory stack. The real test is distribution, not liquidity. Can BitMart US convert its existing crypto users into event-contract traders before Kalshi, DraftKings, and other incumbents lock in the U.S. retail pipeline?

The bigger picture

Joins DraftKings and Crypto.com in a burst of CFTC-regulated platform launches as incumbents race to list sports event contracts before institutional liquidity solidifies around Kalshi and Robinhood.
