Robinhood lists back-to-back HYPE token prediction markets for Sep 5-6
Robinhood launched two HYPE token prediction markets on September 5 and 6, 2026. The first, live at 4 p.m. EDT on Sep 5, offered three strike prices at 1¢, 5¢, and 99¢ with 15-minute updates. The second, for September 6 at 12 p.m. EDT, listed through Robinhood's infrastructure with clearing via KalshiEX, ForecastEX, or Rothera Exchange and Clearing LLC. Both contracts fall under Robinhood's crypto prediction-markets lineup.
Robinhood's 15-minute XRP prediction market is the clearest template for what HYPE may replicate: rapid-turnover crypto contracts trained on retail traders addicted to near-instant settlement. The HYPE listing pushes Robinhood's crypto prediction market count to four distinct tokens, widening the asset-coverage gap that Kalshi must close. Each new contract strengthens Robinhood's negotiating position with its three clearing partners — KalshiEX, ForecastEX, and Rothera — because it can shift volume toward whichever offers the best terms.
Kalshi faces the sharpest squeeze. It launched Bitcoin perpetual futures to capture exclusive retail flow, yet Robinhood keeps poaching the same trader base with simpler, faster products. The competitive bar rises with every listings update. A single partner dispute could force Robinhood to migrate volume overnight; the multi-exchange plumbing makes that survivable, but suppliers live with the threat. Analysts tracking Kalshi's margin sustainability now have more evidence that Robinhood controls the retail pacing.
Robinhood now lists four distinct crypto prediction markets — XRP, Ethereum, Dogecoin, and HYPE — across its daily and 15-minute contract formats, making it the most active retail venue for token-price event contracts.
