Robinhood lists short-term Ethereum prediction markets on partner exchanges
Robinhood has listed Ethereum price prediction markets for October 28, 2026. One contract covers whether ETH will be up or down at 3am EDT. Another covers a 15-minute window from 2:30pm to 2:45pm EDT. Both contracts are offered by Robinhood Derivatives, LLC. They are cleared through partner exchanges: KalshiEX LLC, ForecastEX, LLC, Rothera Exchange and Clearing LLC, or North American Derivatives Exchange. The listings join same-day crypto contracts Robinhood already runs.
Each new crypto contract tightens Robinhood's dependence on its partner exchange lattice. The platform now runs overlapping same-day and sub-hourly ETH markets. That density maximizes fee capture but multiplies the touchpoints where state action could break settlement. Kalshi faces active lawsuits in Ohio and Tennessee. Any geofencing or contract redesign forced on a partner would hit during active trading hours.
Robinhood has no direct CFTC exchange license to absorb displaced volume. The August volume dip showed retail traders abandon interrupted platforms within days. Competitors with their own CFTC designations can pitch that stability directly. Robinhood's stock trades near $91 on prediction-market growth; the partnership structure is the vulnerability beneath the premium.
Robinhood's same-day crypto price markets across multiple tokens and time slots now include Ethereum contracts, joining SOL and XRP markets listed earlier this week as the platform deepens its event-contract stack without acquiring its own CFTC exchange license.
