PrizePicks links with Polymarket and Kalshi as MLB also partners with Polymarket

Updated 8d ago

PrizePicks, a daily fantasy sports and gaming company, has partnered with Polymarket to offer event contracts including sports markets, while also maintaining a multiyear partnership with CFTC-regulated exchange Kalshi. Separately, MLB has partnered with Polymarket in a deal both parties called a turning point for the prediction market industry, aimed at boosting legitimacy, regulation, and fan engagement across sports. The MLB-Polymarket partnership did not include specific contract terms, launch timing, or revenue-sharing details. PrizePicks co-founder Adam Wexler separately donated $10 million to Georgia men's basketball.

Why this matters?

Polymarket now has parallel distribution through both a daily fantasy sports platform and a major sports league, while Kalshi's PrizePicks tie-in gives it equivalent retail reach. The two rivals are locked in a race to secure integrated sportsbook or brokerage partnerships before the NFL season.

The bigger picture

MLB and the NHL are the first two major sports leagues to formally partner with prediction market platforms, with the NFL and NCAA still opposing CFTC-regulated event contracts on their games.
