Polymarket strings together daily Bitcoin contracts with fresh September listing
Polymarket has listed consecutive daily Bitcoin price markets for August 28, 30, and 31, 2026, plus a fresh September 2026 monthly contract. The daily contracts resolve against a Binance one-minute candle close at noon ET. Trading volume on the August 30 contract was just $4, with 51% odds favoring up at close. The string of short-dated listings keeps capital in rapid-reset cycles. A longer-term September 2026 market went live September 1.
Daily Bitcoin contracts with $4 in total volume are not pulling serious flow yet. The real play is structural: Polymarket is training its user base to expect rapid-resolving crypto contracts daily, a rhythm no competitor matches at scale. That habit formation matters if the platform can lift liquidity from Novig-grade sports volume into crypto. Traders face a trap either way. Tight resolution windows mean positions die fast, so sizing is punishing unless books deepen.
Kalshi's slower monthlies look stale by comparison, but its Bitcoin perpetual futures offer levered exposure without the daily expiry. For now, Polymarket's crypto suite is breadth-first, depth-second. The first daily contract that clears six figures will signal whether this cadence converts to real flow. Until then, it is a feature test with retail training value, not a trading venue shift.
Polymarket is now running both daily Bitcoin up-or-down contracts and multi-month price targets, joining the $59.7 million year-end Bitcoin market that set its crypto liquidity depth apart from Kalshi.
