Mets sign exclusive, multiyear partnership with Novig
The New York Mets have signed an exclusive, multiyear partnership with Novig, a prediction-market platform. Terms were not disclosed. The deal begins this season and will feature Novig prominently with the MLB club. Novig operates a peer-to-peer sports prediction market in the United States. The arrangement gives Novig exclusive rights as the Mets' prediction-market partner. No other prediction-market platform can replicate the integration while the deal runs.
Novig now owns the most visible brand integration in prediction markets. The exclusivity blocks Kalshi, Polymarket, and DraftKings from copying the playbook with the same MLB franchise. Every home game becomes a live demo for event-contract trading. Rivals must chase comparable team or league deals, or cede the in-stadium channel entirely.
The partnership tests whether sportsbook habits at the ballpark convert to prediction-market signups. If Novig's signage drives user growth, expect a rush of franchise partnerships. If not, platforms may retreat to digital-only acquisition. Novig's sports-only focus is a bet that fans want price discovery, not just fixed odds. The next season reveals whether that pitch lands.
