Kalshi posts Champions League and Europa League winner odds on X
Kalshi is pricing European club soccer winner markets on its social channels. On October 16, Kalshi Sports posted Barcelona at 28% to win the Champions League, an all-time high for the club on the platform, with PSG at 14% and Bayern Munich at 13%. The prior day, KalshiFC priced the Europa League with Benfica at 17%, Bournemouth at 13%, and Juventus, Leverkusen, and Milan each at 12%. Both posts snapshot current odds rather than tradable depth.
These posts repeat Kalshi's core structural problem: the odds mimic widely available sportsbook lines, giving price-sensitive traders no reason to route size through Kalshi's order book. Citizens Bank already flagged this by NFL Week 3, and the pattern now extends to soccer. Kalshi's 76% NFL volume lead, per Needham, rests on FanDuel's market-making partnership — liquidity Kalshi does not control.
If FanDuel revokes or renegotiates that bridge, Kalshi lacks a ready replacement. The platform must convert sports-curious social visitors into repeat users who trust two-way flow at posted prices. Without independent liquidity, every viral odds snapshot risks becoming marketing pageantry that serious traders dismiss. Soccer season gives Kalshi a fresh test case to solve this before mid-season.
