Kalshi FC posts Premier League top-four probabilities without market depth data
Kalshi FC, a social media account affiliated with prediction market platform Kalshi, posted updated Premier League top-four probabilities on August 23 following recent match results. The post listed 88% for one unnamed club, 71% for Arsenal, 65% for Manchester City, and 64% for Liverpool. The percentages were presented as market prices without accompanying volume, spread, or order book data. The same day, the account also posted Barcelona at 74% to defeat Elche. Kalshi separately listed new trading markets for Marbella FC, a Spanish soccer team.
Traders cannot verify whether Kalshi FC's posted percentages reflect liquid books or thin markets moved by minimal flow. The platform now runs three separate X voices — Kalshi Sports, Kalshi FC, and its main account — which fractures brand coherence and lets social content masquerade as official market data.
Retail users who trade on these unverified figures risk losses if actual clearing prices diverge from headline percentages. The same structural gap appeared in Kalshi Sports' Arsenal title line: percentage content without depth citations. For Kalshi, impression growth without depth growth invites regulatory scrutiny over whether these posts constitute misleading promotion of non-liquid prices.
