Interactive Brokers adds Kalshi and CME Group event contracts to prediction market
Interactive Brokers expanded its prediction market platform to include event contracts settled through both Kalshi and CME Group, the broker announced Thursday, June 2, 2026. The integration builds on Interactive Brokers' existing ForecastEx partnership and adds binary yes/no event contracts from CME Group covering economic data, bitcoin, and S&P 500 outcomes. The announcement came via Interactive Brokers' Traders' Insight campus publication. Specific contract types and launch timing beyond the integration were not detailed. CME Group's event contract suite offers binary settlements on macroeconomic and market outcomes, competing in the same retail-accessible product space as Kalshi's offerings.
Every new broker integration tightens Kalshi's dependence on third-party distribution at the exact moment Robinhood is diverting World Cup flow to rival clearing firm Rothera. If brokered access becomes Kalshi's sole growth engine, any shift in Interactive Brokers' or Robinhood's product priorities directly threatens its volume. Moomoo partners with Kalshi to add CFTC-regulated event contracts.
Joins ForecastEx, Moomoo, and Robinhood as the fourth major retail channel Kalshi has secured or expanded this year, deepening the brokered-access strategy that separates it from Polymarket's wallet-native and direct-to-consumer path.
