Crypto.com launches Predict Pro for real-world event trading
Crypto.com Exchange launched Predict Pro, a prediction market product for trading on elections and other real-world events. The product expands beyond binary Yes/No contracts and includes advanced trading tools. Predict Pro is positioned as part of Crypto.com's push into the regulated US event-contracts space. The platform also partnered with PYMNTS on AI prediction markets. The launch was announced October 16, 2026.
Crypto.com is building its own prediction-market infrastructure rather than accepting a white-label backend role for Robinhood's partner-dependent stack. Robinhood currently routes event-contract volume through Crypto.com, Kalshi, Rothera, and OG.com without holding its own CFTC exchange license. Predict Pro's direct trader relationships turn a supplier into a competitor.
Piper Sandler projected $320 million in football-season revenue across Robinhood's partner platforms. Any volume Crypto.com captures for itself shrinks that pool. The CFTC's pending swap-rule proposal adds further pressure: platforms without direct federal licenses could face forced restructuring. Robinhood's $145 stock price depends on prediction-market growth flowing through partners it does not control.
Crypto.com joins a crowded field of platforms building direct CFTC-regulated prediction-market infrastructure, after Blockchain.com's license filing and alongside existing venues like Kalshi, as the partner-dependent model Robinhood relies on faces regulatory and competitive strain.
