Yankees become first MLB club to sign Polymarket as sponsor

Published Aug 6, 2026Updated 3h ago

Prediction market exchange Polymarket will display branding behind home plate at Yankee Stadium for the remainder of the season under a new sponsorship deal. The agreement makes the Yankees the first MLB club to sign the CFTC-regulated platform as a sponsor. The deal was reported by Sports Business Journal on August 6, 2026. Polymarket's logo will rotate with other brands in the prominent placement visible to broadcast and in-stadium audiences.

Why this matters?

This partnership gives Polymarket a marketing channel that Kalshi and Novig cannot immediately match: live exposure to millions of MLB fans through one of baseball's most valuable broadcast placements. The deal tests whether in-venue branding converts sports bettors into event-contract traders faster than digital acquisition.

Novig answered with the Mets on the same day, but the Yankees' larger national footprint gives Polymarket higher visibility. Rival platforms must now decide whether to bid for team deals or cede this distribution layer to Polymarket and Novig. The next NFL or NBA partnership will set the price floor for the entire sector. For Polymarket, the deal also supports its narrative ahead of a reported $20 billion funding round.
