UFC Freedom 250 draws $6.1M on Kalshi as Topuria-Gaethje market

Published Jun 14, 2026 Updated 12h ago

The Topuria-Gaethje fight at UFC Freedom 250 has drawn more than $6.1 million on Kalshi, making it the most liquid UFC market of the year according to DeFi Rate. Topuria is priced as the night's standout favorite at 79–81%. The event is framed as a head-to-head between Kalshi and Polymarket for UFC trading volume. Individual large positions include a $172,497 wager on Topuria at Kalshi and a $160,000 bet on Gaethje at Polymarket, both posted to social media on June 14. Kalshi's total event volume exceeds either individual block bet by roughly an order of magnitude. Ruffy is the other heavy favorite on the card at 82–84%.

Why this matters?

Kalshi must show its DRW-Wintermute-IMC market-maker stack can absorb seven-figure UFC volume without spread blowouts. One failed liquidity test during a high-profile fight card would validate rival venues' sharper pricing.

The bigger picture

Adds another nine-figure sports-event data point alongside the $700 million NBA Finals, giving Kalshi and Polymarket running evidence that fight-night volume can scale alongside basketball before Robinhood's Rothera test diverts event-contract flow to perpetual futures.
