Stork Market Data launches with Kalshi distribution license

Published Sep 14, 2026Updated 1h ago

Stork Market Data launched on September 14 with a distribution license from Kalshi. The product applies DeFi oracle methods to front-office analytics and supports around-the-clock markets. It covers prediction markets and perpetual futures and now includes live data features. The deal gives Stork access to Kalshi's regulated market data for trader-facing tools. Kalshi gains another distribution channel without building data infrastructure directly.

Why this matters?

Kalshi is assembling a partner ecosystem rather than owning every layer of its data stack. Stork brings oracle-hardened price feeds to traders who want real-time analytics alongside Kalshi's event contracts. That lowers the bar for quantitative shops to trade regulated markets without building data pipelines from scratch. For Kalshi, the license turns raw trade flow into a revenue line it never had to engineer.

The risk is quality: if Stork's feeds lag or misprice during volatile settlement windows, traders will blame Kalshi first. Rivals like Polymarket, with direct CFTC designation and in-house data infra, can argue they control the full stack. Kalshi must now police a partner it does not own. A single bad feed during a high-profile market close would test whether traders value distribution breadth over end-to-end reliability.
