Robinhood and Polymarket list competing Solana price prediction markets

Published Oct 18, 2026

Robinhood has listed a live Solana (SOL) price prediction market for 9 a.m. EDT on Oct. 18, 2026, with tiered contracts at $103.75, $104, and $104.25 price thresholds. The listing sits under Robinhood's crypto events category. Polymarket has listed a competing SOL price market for 5 p.m. ET on Oct. 19, 2026, on its CFTC-regulated U.S. exchange. Polymarket did not disclose price tiers, odds, or volume for its contract. Both platforms now offer same-week Solana price exposure.

Why this matters?

Robinhood and Polymarket are now running head-to-head on crypto price contracts, a segment both platforms treat as the off-season hedge against NFL volume drops. Robinhood's tiered structure at three price levels gives traders granular risk choices Polymarket's undisclosed terms do not match. Robinhood's 15-minute update intervals and binary simplicity strip away complexity that slows adoption on rival venues.

The Solana launch extends a pattern where Robinhood has added four distinct crypto tokens in under a week with same-day or next-day settlement. That cadence trains retail traders to treat prediction markets as a continuous price overlay rather than a weekly sports alternative. Kalshi's longer-dated crypto contracts already look slow by comparison. Robinhood sustains this pace, competitors must match the settlement speed or cede the crypto-retail segment entirely.
