Robinhood Derivatives sources tennis event contract probabilities from KalshiEx and ForecastEx

Published Jun 20, 2026Updated 70d ago

Robinhood Derivatives, LLC launched tennis event contracts on WTA and ATP tournaments, expanding its sports offerings through partner exchanges including KalshiEx, ForecastEx, and Rothera Exchange. The contracts are offered by the registered futures commission merchant and swap firm. A Sherwood.news disclosure and a separate Substack post note that probabilities for Robinhood Derivatives event contracts are referenced or sourced from KalshiEx LLC and ForecastEx LLC. The tennis expansion follows Robinhood's earlier pro basketball exact draft pick event contracts and builds on its broader push into interest rates, inflation prints, elections, and sports event contracts.

Why this matters?

Robinhood's disclosure that KalshiEx and ForecastEx supply its event-contract probabilities reveals the brokerage is not pricing these markets itself. It is white-labeling infrastructure from two CFTC-registered exchanges while competing against them for retail flow. That dependence matters because Robinhood's 16 billion contracts by May 2026 and Rothera's $2 million debut weekend already make the brokerage Kalshi's biggest competitor in regulated event contracts.

If KalshiEx or ForecastEx alter terms, raise fees, or face regulatory friction, Robinhood's entire event-contract vertical wobbles. The arrangement also gives those exchanges visibility into Robinhood's order flow, a data asymmetry that could shape their own market-making and product decisions.

The bigger picture

Robinhood's tennis launch and disclosed KalshiEx and ForecastEx sourcing ties the brokerage's growing event-contract menu to the same clearing infrastructure that powered Rothera's $2 million debut weekend and 15 percent of Robinhood platform volume during the World Cup.
