ProphetX adds prediction markets to EPICK fantasy app
ProphetX partnered with EPICK to add its sports prediction markets to the fantasy app, according to an August 5 press release. ProphetX is a CFTC Designated Contract Market and Derivatives Clearing Organization. The deal advances ProphetX's push to expand distribution ahead of the NFL season. EPICK Fantasy is the host platform for the integration. ProphetX raised $35 million just before this partnership was announced.
ProphetX now has customer-facing distribution for its CFTC-regulated contracts within days of its funding close. EPICK's fantasy user base gives ProphetX a ready audience that rivals must acquire at marketing cost. The NFL season will test whether fantasy players convert to prediction-market traders. For competitors, the deal means one more sports platform with its own regulatory stack is off the market as a white-label partner.
The timing matters because a bipartisan Senate bill could ban sports event contracts outright before next season. ProphetX's sports-only focus concentrates that risk, but also its reward if the vertical survives. Platforms still without distribution deals face a narrower window to secure partners before the legislative and seasonal clocks run out.
