Polymarket clears $1M traded on 2026 NFL MVP contracts as Kalshi posts rival odds

Published Sep 26, 2026Updated 12h ago

Polymarket has recorded more than $1 million in trading volume on 2026 NFL MVP contracts. Josh Allen leads the market at 24% probability, followed by Brock Purdy at 12%, with Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes tied at 9% each. Kalshi Sports separately posted NFL MVP probability markets ahead of Week 3, pricing Allen at 27%, Purdy at 12%, and Burrow, Jackson, and Mahomes tied at 9%. Both platforms are trading the same award with nearly identical leaderboards.

Why this matters?

The near-identical NFL MVP leaderboards on Polymarket and Kalshi expose how thin the differentiation has become between regulated venues offering the same contracts. Traders now price-shop across platforms for fills, not for unique markets. Polymarket's $1 million in traded volume signals where the liquidity has pooled, and Kalshi's percentage posts risk becoming reference shadows rather than competitive order books.

For traders, the practical split is simple: whoever shows tighter spreads and real depth earns the flow. Kalshi's FanDuel market-making seat must translate into fillable size, not just posted odds, or traders will arb across venues and consolidate on Polymarket. The platform that proves it can absorb repetitive NFL award sizing will shape how sports prediction markets trade through the season.
