Kalshi traders price Indiana at 71% to beat Michigan, Miami at 91% vs. Pitt
Kalshi traders have priced the Indiana Hoosiers at 71% to defeat Michigan, with the Wolverines at 29%. The pricing comes as Michigan turns to a freshman quarterback. Separately, Kalshi traders priced top-ranked Miami at 91% to beat Pitt, with the Panthers at 9% as Pitt has not yet named a starting quarterback. An OregonLive.com preview of an Oregon-Illinois matchup also cited a Kalshi over/under market at 52.5 points, priced at 43¢.
Kalshi's college football prices are becoming routine sports media content. The Indiana-Michigan and Miami-Pitt listings now sit alongside conventional odds in game previews, following the pattern of Alabama-Tennessee at 75%. Each cited price is free marketing that normalizes event contracts as native sports commentary. That exposure cuts both ways.
State attorneys general in Ohio and Tennessee have already stripped Kalshi's federal preemption shield, and Maryland officials are watching. Broadcast and editorial partnerships that treat prediction-market prices as betting data points could become evidence of consumer-facing gambling promotion if courts reclassify the contracts. Kalshi must weigh each new sports listing's volume upside against its legal exposure. The platform cannot control that tradeoff state by state.
Joins a running string of cited college football prices — Alabama-Tennessee at 75%, Georgia at 93% on the CFP tracker, and Jeremiah Smith at 41% for the Heisman — that treats Kalshi's event contracts as native sports commentary.
