OG.com debuts card-pack prediction markets for Pokémon, NBA, MLB, and NFL
Crypto.com-owned OG.com launched OG.com Rips on October 30, a product that applies prediction-market mechanics to sports and trading card pack openings. Users trade on outcomes of collectible card pack reveals for Pokémon, NBA, MLB, and NFL cards, with a chance to win real cards. The offering sits alongside OG.com Markets, the company's CFTC-regulated exchange and clearinghouse for prediction market contracts on sports and financials. OG.com thus becomes the latest Crypto.com-backed venture to enter the prediction-markets space.
OG.com Rips signals that Crypto.com is building a portfolio of prediction-market bets rather than consolidating behind one brand. The company backed PredictArena just nine days earlier with a creator-focused model, and now offers collectible-card contracts under the OG.com umbrella. That splinters attention and liquidity across multiple ventures that share the same parent infrastructure.
For traders, the risk is platform migration: any regulatory freeze or state geofencing against one Crypto.com-backed venue could force abrupt moves during active trading hours. The August volume dip on Robinhood showed how quickly retail traders abandon interrupted platforms. OG.com's CFTC registration offers more stability than white-label dependents, but its card-specific product must still prove it can capture sustained volume beyond novelty launches.
Crypto.com now backs at least three distinct prediction-market ventures — PredictArena, SignalMarkets, and OG.com — joining Robinhood and Kalshi in competing for event-contract volume while state gambling suits threaten operating geography.
