LO:TECH raises $12M Series A from MMC for prediction market infrastructure

Published Nov 3, 2026

LO:TECH raised $12 million in Series A funding led by MMC. The company builds infrastructure for prediction markets, crypto, and finance. It is based in London with planned expansion there. The round was announced in early November 2026. Sporttrade secured dual CFTC registration as a designated contract market and derivatives clearing organization in May 2026. That registration allows Sporttrade to list and clear contracts without third-party infrastructure.

Why this matters?

LO:TECH's raise arrives as regulated prediction market infrastructure becomes a crowded build race. Kalshi just closed a $1 billion round at a $40 billion valuation to expand into mainstream derivatives. Sporttrade already owns the full trade cycle with dual CFTC licenses. tZERO is heading public to scale its own event-contract stack. LO:TECH must now prove its technology can differentiate against well-funded rivals with regulatory momentum.

MMC's bet suggests institutional investors see room for multiple infrastructure providers. But LO:TECH's London base leaves it outside the direct CFTC licensing path that Sporttrade and Kalshi are pursuing. The company needs faster product launches or deeper broker partnerships to avoid being squeezed by rivals with deeper balance sheets and federal regulatory clearance. Its timeline is the next financing window, when revenue proof will matter more than roadmap promises.
