LBank and Byreal launch competing prediction market products

Published Jun 8, 2026 Updated 18h ago

Crypto exchange LBank and decentralized exchange Byreal each launched competing prediction market products on consecutive days. LBank introduced LBank Predict on June 8, integrating event-contract trading into its existing crypto platform and positioning the exchange as a new competitor in the space. Byreal, a DEX incubated by Bybit and built for Solana, unveiled Byreal Predict on June 9 as an on-chain prediction market product that expands the exchange into event contracts. Both launches extend the crypto-native exchange sector into prediction markets without relying on traditional regulatory frameworks.

Why this matters?

Byreal Predict joins Jupiter's Forecast on Solana, giving the chain two native venues competing for the same cost-sensitive traders. Any activity captured by either Solana platform directly targets Ethereum incumbents' market share rather than expanding the total addressable market.

The bigger picture

Solana's first native prediction market Forecast from Jupiter loses its one-platform status as Byreal Predict enters the same chain, intensifying competition among Solana-based event-contract venues for trader migration from Ethereum incumbents.
