KuCoin embeds Polymarket prediction markets in mobile app v5.0.1
KuCoin has integrated Polymarket prediction markets into its mobile app through a version 5.0.1 update. The crypto exchange has not disclosed the technical mechanism for the integration, such as whether it uses a widget, redirect, or another method. Eligible users in supported regions can now trade Polymarket contracts within KuCoin's interface. The arrangement marks a distribution partnership between the crypto exchange and the CFTC-regulated prediction market platform.
KuCoin's integration follows its earlier announced plan to embed Polymarket, making it the second major crypto exchange this month to add regulated prediction markets alongside LBank's pre-IPO token play with Kalshi-linked assets. Polymarket, the deal places event contracts in front of KuCoin's existing retail crypto user base without requiring those users to download a separate app or verify a new account. That distribution shortcut matters because Polymarket US is competing with Kalshi for retail volume at the same moment Kalshi is locking in institutional pipelines through Broadridge CQG and Tradeweb.
The undisclosed technical mechanism raises a commercial question: if KuCoin is merely white-labeling Polymarket's interface, the revenue split likely favors Polymarket; if KuCoin is sourcing liquidity directly, the economics reverse. Either way, the integration tests whether crypto-native users will trade event contracts with the same frequency they trade tokens, a behavior shift that would broaden prediction markets beyond their current political-news core.
Joins a tight cluster of Polymarket and Kalshi distribution pushes across retail and institutional channels, after the NBA formally partnered both platforms and Kalshi secured Broadridge CQG and LBank access.
