Kalshi adds five crypto perpetuals for U.S. traders
Kalshi launched perpetual futures for BNB, Cardano, Worldcoin, Aave, and Venice on September 4, expanding its lineup of cryptocurrency derivatives on the CFTC-registered platform. The products target U.S. traders and add to Kalshi's existing crypto offerings. The regulated prediction market continues to build its crypto perpetuals suite ahead of competitors seeking similar U.S. retail access. Eligible investors can now trade BNB perpetuals on the exchange, with the full five-token basket available. Kalshi has been filing perpetual contracts across multiple asset classes despite ongoing legal pressure from CME Group.
Kalshi's five-token crypto perpetual launch tightens the race with Polymarket to own regulated U.S. leverage demand. Polymarket went live with 20x perpetuals across oil, crypto, and stocks the same day, so traders now choose between Kalshi's CFTC-registered venue and Polymarket's higher-leverage international product. For Kalshi, speed of listing determines whether it captures U.S. retail flow before competitors match the asset breadth.
The products arrive while CME Group's lawsuit over Kalshi's bitcoin perps is pending, meaning every new crypto perpetual adds pressure on CME's legal strategy. Kalshi must build liquidity fast; offshore perpetual exchanges already dominate crypto leverage, and U.S. traders will migrate to whoever offers the deepest order book. The winner sets margin and fee templates that force the other to match.
