Genius Sports launches Prediction.com to compare event contracts
Genius Sports has launched Prediction.com, a platform that lets traders compare prices for sports-related event contracts across multiple prediction-market venues. The product was launched through Legend, the company's consumer media and technology business. The site offers comparison tools focused on sports prediction markets. Both announcements were published on September 17, 2026. Genius Sports already collects data fees from partnerships with Polymarket and Kalshi. Prediction.com marks its push into consumer-facing prediction-market infrastructure.
Genius Sports is building an infrastructure layer that profits from prediction-market activity without owning the regulatory licenses that determine who can legally trade. The company already earns data fees from Polymarket and Kalshi partnerships; Prediction.com adds a consumer-facing aggregator that monetizes whichever exchange wins each trade. That neutrality limits Genius Sports' exposure to state enforcement actions against individual platforms.
But it also creates dependence: the site needs uninterrupted data feeds from exchanges that may eventually restrict API access or launch rival comparison tools. If Kalshi or Polymarket limits terms, Genius Sports' premium positioning erodes fast. The real stakes are whether the company can build trader habits before the exchanges build their own price comparison. Locke's arms-dealer strategy works only if venues keep sharing the battlefield.
