Crypto.com and OG.com debut CFTC-regulated crypto perpetual futures for US traders
Crypto.com and OG.com launched CFTC-regulated, no-expiry crypto perpetual futures for US traders with up to 5x leverage. The product opened ahead of the NFL season and is positioned as an entry into the prediction markets space. OG.com also launched an AI prediction market. The offering runs through a single regulated entity, letting Crypto.com compete in both leveraged derivatives and event contracts domestically. Both products come amid a broader push by crypto exchanges to build US-regulated product lines.
OG.com's dual launch gives Crypto.com a vertically integrated US revenue model that rivals cannot easily copy. Robinhood and Coinbase instead rely on Kalshi partnerships for prediction-market access, sending a slice of fees to a third party. If OG.com's crypto perpetuals draw volume faster than its prediction markets, Crypto.com can shift marketing spend toward derivatives and keep the full fee stack.
The 5x leverage cap targets retail traders who want crypto exposure without expiry dates, a segment Coinbase and Kraken also covet. But OG.com's success depends on clearing CFTC compliance hurdles that have stalled other platforms. State litigation risk compounds the uncertainty: Crypto.com is already suing Missouri alongside Novig to defend event-contract access. A loss there would narrow OG.com's domestic path regardless of which product line leads.
Adds regulated crypto futures to OG.com's prediction-market stack after Crypto.com spun out OG.com and hired Markets as prime broker last week, making it one of few vertically integrated US platforms combining derivatives and event contracts under one roof.
