Betr COO builds slot machine-style game on Kalshi

Published Jun 17, 2026Updated 33d ago

Betr COO Alex Ursa has built a slot machine-style game prototype using Kalshi's event-contract infrastructure, according to posts he shared on X and LinkedIn. The demonstration, which Ursa showcased publicly, uses the Kalshi API to power gamified mechanics resembling slot-style gameplay. The prototype points to an experimental blending of prediction-market contracts with gaming-like user experiences, coming from a gaming executive rather than a traditional finance or trading firm. Kalshi's API is increasingly attracting third-party developers building novel interfaces on top of its CFTC-regulated event-contract stack.

Why this matters?

This prototype tests whether Kalshi's API can support consumer-gaming distribution channels that most CFTC-regulated venues lack. Betr or similar gaming operators commercialize such integrations, Kalshi could capture retail flow outside traditional trading interfaces. Any rival platform without comparable developer-facing infrastructure would need to build or buy it to compete for the same user base.
