XBIT DEX launches leveraged on-chain prediction markets with 35,000 USDC whitelist campaign

Updated 7d ago

XBIT DEX opened whitelist applications on May 27 for leveraged on-chain prediction markets, positioning itself as the first decentralized exchange to introduce leverage to the sector. The platform prioritized the 2026 FIFA World Cup as its debut market category. A 35,000 USDC promotional campaign accompanies the launch. The product settles as contracts approach expiration, framing the offering as an entry into the derivatives era for prediction markets. XBIT DEX is operating outside the CFTC-registered exchange framework used by Kalshi, FanDuel Predicts, and DraftKings, instead building on permissionless infrastructure.

Why this matters?

XBIT DEX's leverage model threatens Polymarket's offshore dominance by offering perpetual-style exposure without the regulatory exposure that has kept Polymarket off U.S. app stores. Any traction on World Cup volume forces Polymarket to respond with its own leverage product or cede the high-risk trader segment entirely.

The bigger picture

XBIT DEX joins Hyperliquid as the second on-chain derivatives platform this month to challenge incumbent prediction-market venues, extending the push from spot event contracts into leveraged perpetual-style products.
