Tradeify draws 30,000 to prediction market tournaments in prop trading push
Tradeify has drawn 30,000 participants to prediction market tournaments that apply the format to simulated trading competitions, extending its use beyond traditional prediction markets. Parent company Plaee is using the same underlying technology for both regulated event markets and the contests. Earlier this year, Tradeify supplied technology for Crypto.com's CFTC-compliant prediction markets in the US. The tournaments mark a move into prop trading-style engagement for the platform.
Tradeify's tournament volume tests whether simulated competitions can serve as a user-acquisition funnel for regulated prediction markets. Parent company Plaee is betting the same technology stack can feed both ecosystems: contestants who prove skill in simulated environments become natural candidates for real-money platforms like the Crypto.com venue Tradeify already powers.
The 30,000 headcount gives Plaee a engagement base to pitch exchange partners on conversion rates and demographic overlap. If tournament participants migrate to live markets at meaningful scale, Plaee justifies its dual-track model and may license the tournament layer to other exchanges seeking retail onboarding tools. If the funnel stalls, Tradeify remains a sideshow rather than a strategic on-ramp.
Tradeify joins OddsON in testing whether simulated and prop-style formats can turn prediction-market infrastructure into a parallel trading surface alongside traditional event contracts.
