Real App partners FanDuel for sports betting and prediction markets
Real App has struck an exclusive partnership with FanDuel to integrate sports betting and prediction-market products into Real's social sports platform. The deal was announced September 10. FanDuel Predicts is already expanding its event-contract offerings through partners. The agreement makes FanDuel Real's first official partner in the prediction-market sector. No terms or timeline were disclosed. Real combines live scores, player tracking, and fan discussion in its app.
FanDuel Predicts gains a new distribution channel without building social features itself. Real's users get embedded betting and event contracts without leaving the app. Competing platforms must now decide whether to build similar social infrastructure or pursue their own exclusive app partnerships. The deal follows Robinhood's multi-partner routing strategy and Kalshi's streaming integration as ways to expand reach without owning full user acquisition.
FanDuel's existing CFTC-regulated status through its partnership with CME Group lets it move faster than platforms still seeking regulatory paths. Real bears the user-acquisition cost while FanDule scales contract volume. Rivals lacking comparable partner networks face higher marketing spend or slower growth.
Recent partnership activity by FanDuel Predicts follows a pattern of platforms building distribution through external apps rather than direct user acquisition, joining Robinhood's OG.com and Crypto.com routing deals and Kalshi's Catalist streaming integration as entrants compete for prediction-market reach without owning full stack control.
