Kinetic Markets selects Solidus Labs for trade surveillance

Published Aug 3, 2026

Kinetic Markets, the futures commission merchant affiliate of Kalshi, has selected Solidus Labs as its trade surveillance partner. The partnership is aimed at bolstering surveillance, transparency, and compliance infrastructure as Kalshi pursues institutional clients. The deal was announced Monday, August 3. Solidus Labs provides market surveillance technology. Kinetic Markets is Kalshi's FCM affiliate. Kalshi is a CFTC-regulated prediction market platform.

Why this matters?

Institutional investors demand audit-ready surveillance before committing capital. Kalshi's infrastructure gap was a blocking issue. Solidus closes it. The platform can now pitch pension funds and endowments without the compliance caveat. That matters immediately: Robinhood is already dual-sourcing prediction market suppliers and Fanatics just acquired its own CFTC exchange and clearinghouse.

Vertical integration is shrinking the partner market for standalone exchanges. Kalshi must secure institutional flow before rivals lock in shelf space. The NFL season tests liquidity across venues. Surveillance alone won't win that race, but lacking it would disqualify Kalshi before the starting gun.
