Kalshi traders price Saints at 62% to beat Browns in Sanders' first start

Published Nov 8, 2026

Kalshi prediction-market traders give the New Orleans Saints a 62% chance to defeat the Cleveland Browns in Week 9 of the 2026 NFL season. The Saints are favored despite their 2-5 record because Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders is making his first start of the season. New Orleans is coming off its bye week. Kalshi also prices the Bears at 72% to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, Nov. 8, with a spread market pricing the Bears' winning margin at about 6.5 points.

Why this matters?

Kalshi's daily NFL pricing is now routine, but each new moneyline and spread market sharpens the legal risk that state attorneys general in Ohio and Tennessee have already signaled. The Saints-Browns and Bears-Buccaneers lines look functionally identical to sportsbook offerings. That similarity is precisely what state suits could cite to reclassify these contracts as gambling rather than economic hedging.

FanDuel's market-making partnership still supplies the liquidity behind these prices. Kalshi does not own that pipeline. A court ruling against the contract structure would simultaneously threaten the spread and total markets that differentiate Kalshi from simpler binary venues, and jeopardize a partnership Kalshi has no obvious replacement for. Volume and user acquisition sit on a foundation the platform does not control.
