Kalshi Sports floods X with NFL, MLB, and college football probability posts
Kalshi Sports posted three sets of sports event-contract odds on its X account over September 27–28. The posts included NFL playoff elimination odds for seven teams, World Series probabilities for 10 MLB teams with the Dodgers at 31%, and College Football Playoff chances for ten teams with Notre Dame at 89%. All figures are drawn from Kalshi's traded markets. The posts are routine social-media snapshots of live pricing rather than announcements of new contracts or promotional campaigns.
These posts are marketing, not markets. Kalshi is using daily probability snapshots to stay visible during peak football season, but the percentages reveal nothing about whether the order books can absorb serious size. Traders who try to execute against these numbers will discover slippage fast. Related coverage shows Novig and Polymarket already pull sharp volume toward tighter markets.
FanDuel's market-making seat gives Kalshi depth that retail rivals lack, yet it also creates single-counterparty dependency. If FanDuel pulls back or widens spreads, Kalshi's posted odds become fiction. Kalshi must convert September sports curiosity into sustained weekly engagement. A slippage event in a high-profile market would send traders elsewhere before recovery is possible.
