Kalshi layers Solidus Labs and Comply on top of Nasdaq surveillance partnership

Published Aug 10, 2026Updated 1h ago

Kalshi is upgrading its trade surveillance infrastructure with systems inspired by Nasdaq. The platform is partnering with Solidus Labs and Comply to attract institutional traders. This builds on a direct partnership with Nasdaq itself to adopt the U.S. exchange's market surveillance technology, as Kalshi continues expanding its compliance infrastructure for regulated event contracts. The surveillance improvements cover both exchange and brokerage operations under the Kalshi umbrella.

Why this matters?

Kalshi is assembling a multi-vendor surveillance stack aimed squarely at institutional due diligence teams. The Nasdaq deal provides brand credibility with regulators, while Solidus Labs and Comply add operational coverage across both exchange and broker books. That matters because institutional traders typically demand redundant systems and clean audit trails before committing capital. Kalshi now has them. For competitors like Polymarket, the bar rises: institutional-grade compliance is becoming a prerequisite, not a differentiator.

The sequencing also reduces vendor-count risk by keeping broker and exchange surveillance under overlapping but distinct providers. A gap in either layer would still show up before a trade clears, which is the point of the redundancy. CFTC examiners reviewing new contract categories now face a cleaner surveillance narrative, which should smooth approvals. The cost is operational complexity and dependency on multiple third-party uptime guarantees.

The bigger picture

Deepens a five-day stretch of compliance-focused moves by Kalshi, building on the Nasdaq surveillance deal and the earlier brokerage-arm extension with Solidus Labs to close gaps before institutional due diligence begins.
