Kalshi becomes first prediction market to stream full order books on DoubleZero

Published Aug 12, 2026Updated 3h ago

Kalshi is the first prediction market to stream full order books through DoubleZero, a data infrastructure provider. The integration launched August 12 gives institutional traders direct access to Level 1 and Level 2 data for Kalshi's sports and crypto perpetual markets. Trading firms can now receive real-time feeds through DoubleZero's dedicated fiber network without reconstructing order books from APIs. The rollout covers Kalshi's most actively traded contracts with full book depth.

Why this matters?

Institutional data feeds are the gate to professional capital, and Kalshi just removed a structural barrier that kept regulated prediction markets in retail territory. Trading firms with systematic strategies need millisecond-order-book depth to size positions and manage risk; API reconstruction was too slow. The DoubleZero fiber network is already wired into institutional co-location setups, so Kalshi lands inside existing workflows rather than forcing new infrastructure spend.

TS Imagine's recent prediction-markets integration showed buy-side demand; Kalshi now supplies the raw feed those risk systems consume. The 90- to 120-day institutional trial window that TS Imagine opened just got a live data source. For Polymarket and ForecastEx, the gap is concrete: every month without comparable feed infrastructure means another systematic desk forms habits elsewhere. The compliance fights in New York, Wisconsin, and Utah matter less if the professional flow never arrives to defend.

The bigger picture

Kalshi's institutional data push comes as crypto-native competitors like Gate DexBuilder race to launch prediction-market infrastructure that bypasses CFTC timelines entirely, forcing regulated venues to prove their compliance advantage justifies the slower path.
