Kalshi hires former Underdog executive Dillon Borgida to lead private client sales

Published Jul 16, 2026

Kalshi has hired Dillon Borgida as head of private client sales and services. Borgida previously worked at Underdog, a fantasy sports and sports betting platform, where he supported large clients, and at DraftKings prior to that. The appointment was disclosed Tuesday in SBC Americas' weekly hires-and-exits column covering the U.S. commercial gaming industry. Borgida's role at Kalshi focuses on private client sales, a function he carries over from his time serving large accounts at Underdog.

Why this matters?

Kalshi is staffing up its institutional-facing desk just as DraftKings' DKeX launch and Pascal's $9 million fundraising intensify the race for large clients. Borgida's Underdog experience with high-value accounts gives Kalshi a seller who already knows how to pitch fantasy and betting products to sophisticated buyers.

This hire comes days after Kalshi brought in Udesh Jha from CME Group to run risk, suggesting the platform is pairing revenue generation with back-office infrastructure in a short window. Kalshi's second senior hire in about a week tightens its execution timeline against competitors who are already integrating with ChatGPT and Blockchain.com for distribution. The platforms that lock in loyal large clients before the NFL season will keep the users that define category economics.
