We are of course talking about Elon Musk versus Jeff Bezos when it comes to the richest people on the planet.
As of March, Musk, who has an ear with President Donald Trump and has founded companies like Tesla and SpaceX — is the richest man in the world, worth an estimated at $314 billion.
To peasants like you and I, that’s a shocking number and one that’s actually down (I know, right?) from a peak of around $450 billion
On the other side, you have Jeff Bezos, who owns Amazon and … seemingly everything else, including a weiner-looking rocket that sent the original Captain Kirk into space (briefly, let’s not get too excited here).
Bezos, who founded the now-ubiquitous Amazon — literally the world’s biggest online retailer way back in the bygone age of 1994 — is coming in second with a projected net worth of $215 billion.
Yeah, I’m sure we’re all crying into our tea here, while we live paycheck to paycheck.

Current worth north of $300 billion, a staggering amount for the rocket launcher, government slasher, and social media poster. He’s heavily favored to continue being the world’s richest man.

Jeff Bezos
- Odds: 10%
Took William Shatner to space and, hey, that ain’t nothing. Worth more than $200 billion.

- Odds: 6%
You might be asking yourself, “Who’s this guy?” and you’d be in the right. But he is chairman and CEO of LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton), the world’s largest luxury goods company … and worth $192 billion.
Jensen Huang
- Odds: 5%
Jensen Huang rules because he runs Nvidia and he’s worth $114.5 billion and that’s all I have to say about that. (Yes, I play a lot of video games.)
Larry Ellison
- Odds: 3%
Larry Ellison is the head of one of the most important tech companies in the world: Oracle. And yeah they’re not slouching on payments. He’s worth more than $170 billion.
