President Donald Trump’s Trump Media and Technology Group Corp. today announced that it will be making prediction markets available through the company’s Truth Social social media platform.
The company has partnered with Crypto.com’s Commodity Futures Trading Commission-approved exchange and clearinghouse to offer the embedded markets. The deal will make Truth Social the first social media platform to get into the prediction market space.
Truth Predict wants to “democratize” information
Calling the new product Truth Predict, the company says Truth Social users will be able to trade on a variety of event outcomes, including “political elections, interest and inflation rate changes, commodity prices on gold and crude oil, events across all major sports leagues, and more,” according to a press release.
“Truth Predict will allow our loyal users to engage in prediction markets with a trusted network while harnessing our social media platform to provide totally unique ways for users to discuss and compare their predictions,” former congressman Devin Nunes, chairman and CEO of Trump Media, said in the release. “With more than $3 billion in financial assets as of the end of the second quarter, and having posted our first quarter of positive operating cash flow after going public just last year, Trump Media is well-positioned to leverage our strong balance sheet and existing social media capabilities to create a new standard for access to prediction market platforms.”
“For too long, global elites have closely controlled these markets,” Nunes continued. “With Truth Predict, we’re democratizing information and empowering everyday Americans to harness the wisdom of the crowd, turning free speech into actionable foresight.”

Venture is latest partnership between Trump companies and Crypto.com
Trump Media says the company will be beta testing Truth Predict “in the near future,” then roll out access to the markets in all 50 states. The company will expand worldwide “once all the requisite requirements are met,” the release says.
Truth Social members and subscribers to Trump Media’s Truth+ streaming platform will be able to use their collected “Truth gems,” reward points awarded for engagement, and convert them into Cronos (CRO), the native token of Crypto.com, for use in trading on Trump Predict.
Truth Predict is Trump Media’s latest partnership with Crypto.com, whose CEO, Kris Marszalek, met with Trump shortly after his most recent presidential election victory. In August, Trump Media announced it had raised more than $6 billion to purchase a large supply of Cronos, part of a deal with Crypto.com to create a cryptocurrency treasury company.
Truth Predict’s prediction market will be facilitated by Crypto.com | Derivatives North America (CDNA), which is approved by the CFTC as a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO). That allows Crypto.com to offer prediction markets directly on its platform, as well as partner with outside outlets to offer them through other platforms. In September it was announced that CDNA would be powering the prediction markets offered by fantasy sports platform Underdog.
Marszalek said in the release that prediction markets are about to become a “multi-deca-billion dollar industry.” He said he was thrilled to partner with Truth Social to begin offering prediction markets on the platform.
“This aligns perfectly with what users look for in social media — a community to engage with and seek truth,” Marszalek said in the release. “Truth Predict will provide customers with a powerful tool related to market sentiment on an unlimited number of events. We are thrilled to integrate Truth Social’s truly pioneering social media platform and technology with our industry-leading technology and regulated prediction market trading.”
Trump Jr. has advisory roles with Kalshi and Polymarket
The Trump family is no stranger to prediction markets. The president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., is a strategic advisor for both of the leading prediction market platforms, Polymarket and Kalshi. Trump Jr.’s venture capital firm, 1789 Capital, has invested millions in Polymarket, which is gearing up for a return to the U.S. market.
President Trump reportedly is not involved in the daily management of his businesses while serving as president. Trump recently nominated cryptocurrency regulator Mike Selig to head up the CFTC, which regulates and oversees prediction markets in the U.S., including those offered through Crypto.com.
Trump and his administration have generally been seen as more friendly to prediction markets and the crypto industry. The CFTC has taken a much more permissive approach to prediction markets since Trump’s inauguration, enabling the industry to explode this year with record-breaking engagement and trading volume.
Prediction markets drew major media attention after the 2024 presidential election when election markets predicted Trump’s victory more accurately than traditional polls.
Prediction market platforms are currently engaged in legal battles with various state regulators and gaming tribes over their right to offer sports event contracts nationwide. The Nevada Gaming Control Board recently announced that Crypto.com would cease offering sports prediction markets in Nevada starting next week as its lawsuit against the state continues to play out.
