The concept of “everything is tradable” got another boost today as Kalshi announced the launch of prediction markets based on the value of various collectibles.
Kalshi has partnered with Stock X, a unique online marketplace focused on limited-edition products, using its “aggregated, anonymized market data” to create the new markets, which launched Wednesday morning. The initial offerings include markets for Labubu dolls, sneakers, Supreme clothing and Pokémon cards.
Kalshi co-founder and CEO Tarek Mansour posted about the collectible markets on LinkedIn, writing, “You can now trade these assets, without needing to own the physical goods.”
“Collectibles have some of the most passionate, data-obsessed communities on earth,” Mansour wrote. “Entire fanbases have spent years mastering how to value them. Some of the best quants I know on Wall Street started out as sneaker bot flippers. We started Kalshi with the dream that any underlying could become a financial instrument. Collectibles are a natural next step.”
Kalshi users can trade on pricing of clothing, trading cards and more
Collectible buyers and sellers converge on StockX to purchase and sell everything from streetwear, designer handbags, and clothing to trading cards, electronics, and many other collectibles. Similar to the stock market, current market demand determines the pricing. StockX will share that data with Kalshi to both inform the market creation and confirm the resolutions.
StockX CEO Greg Schwartz said in the Kalshi news release that, as “the marketplace that turned sneakers into an asset class,” partnering with Kalshi on culture collectibles was a good fit.
“At StockX, we’ve always been committed to providing access to the data our customers need to trade what they love,” Schwartz added. “Adding our trusted market insights to Kalshi’s new product-related contracts takes that commitment a step further — it allows our community to participate in an innovative way and express conviction about the brands that fuel their passions.”

Collectible markets now live on Kalshi
Kalshi says the collectible markets will fall into three main categories.
- Top-Traded Brands During Major Events: Wherein Kalshi users can trade on the top-selling brands on StockX during events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
- Average Prices For Upcoming Product Releases: Traders can predict the average sale price of StockX products, which will be measured between 7-30 days after they come out.
- Monthly Average Sales Prices: Kalshi users can trade on the average resale prices of top-selling products on StockX in a particular month.
Kalshi says that the initial markets will cover “select, high-demand releases across major brands,” with StockX and Kalshi planning to offer additional markets in the near future.
The first Kalshi collectible markets include:
- Average sales price of the Pop Mart Labubu The Monsters Big Into Energy Series (6 Blind Box) on StockX this month?
- Excluding Nike, Jordan, and adidas, who will be the top brand on StockX based on trades on Cyber Monday?
- Average sales price of the Pokémon Mega Evolution Charizard X EX Ultra-Premium Collection on StockX, 30 days after release?
- Average sales price of the Supreme Box Logo Hoodie (FW 2025) on StockX, 7 days after release?
- Average sales price of the Jordan 8 Retro ‘Bugs Bunny’ (2025) on StockX, 7 days after release?
Mansour said in the news release that the new contracts are the latest sign that prediction markets have gone mainstream. Kalshi co-founder Launa Lopes Lara jokingly suggested on X that the StockX partnership has already led to a Labubu fever outbreak in the company’s office.
