If you’re hitting the road this summer, it’s a good idea to steer toward savings.

Prediction market like Kalshi show traders believe the average cost of a gallon of gas in the U.S. will be over $3.10 (97%) and possibly over $3.15 (57%). As of May 28, according to AAA, the average is $3.16.

Still, AAA says gas prices are dipping across the country — and certain states provide better mileage for your money.

Whether you’re road-tripping or just trying to beat pain at the pump, here’s where your wallet can breathe easiest.

Bear in mind that these prices fluctuate and change daily.
