With the 2025 NFL Draft just days away, experts continue to fill out their mock drafts and publicly voice their sometimes outland prognostications. I don’t care what the pundits and so-called “experts” have to say — I want to know what the money says.
In fact, there’s millions in trading volume at Polymarket, the prediction marketplace that rose to prominence during the 2024 presidential election after correctly forecasting Donald Trump’s election victory.
Will they prove prescient again? Let’s find out — here are 6 NFL Draft predictions ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft kicking off at Lambeau Stadium this Thursday.
Who Goes First Overall?
Prediction: Cam Ward (98%)
Ward has risen to the prohibitive favorite to be selected first overall, with Polymarket traders assigning him a 98% chance. In January, Ward replaced Shedeur Sanders as the favorite to be the No. 1 pick, as the odds flipped after the conclusion of the college football season.
Ward’s arm strength seems to be the differentiator between him and the rest of the incoming quarterbacks.
Will the Top Pick Be Traded?
Prediction: NO (94%)
There’s a very slim chance that the Tennessee Titans will trade first overall pick will be traded before the draft begins. Crazy things do, however, happen so we can’t fully rule out the possibility. Earlier this year, the Titans front office did indicate that it was “open” to potentially trading their top pick but it would undoubtedly need to be a major haul that most teams are unlikely to cough up.
How many QBs in the Top 3?
Prediction: 1 (84%)
After Ward, nothing seems too certain for quarterbacks, but Polymarket expects the next couple of teams to another position.
Which team will draft Travis Hunter?
Prediction: Cleveland Browns (89%)
One of those picks belongs to the Cleveland Browns’, who will follow the Tennessee Titans. All signs point to them drafting Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter. Hunter is known for his prolific two-way play, scoring touchdowns on offensive as a receiver and picking of quarterbacks as a cornerback. The Browns, who are dire need of a receiver, may not use him both ways.
Will Travis Hunter Break Up Before the Draft?
Prediction: NO (99%)
This personal subplot has garnered attention after some not-so-flattering viral moments for his girlfriend, Leanna Lenee, during the football season and into Hunter’s Heisman ceremony. For better or worse, markets see the couple sticking together in the short term.
Which team will draft Shedeur Sanders?
Prediction: Saints (17%)
Sanders’ stock has plummeted but he’s still expected to be a top 10 pick. The Saints, who have issues on both sides of the ball, are expected to deliver new head coach and offensive guru Kellen Moore a long-term solution and, hopefully, a franchise quarterback with the No. 9 pick in the draft..
