The previous weeks in May and June saw a large assortment of big projects being added to Netflix. This week, there are only a couple of notable shows and several films. There are also some smaller international ones that may struggle to compete with Ginny & Georgia and Straw. With the help of the top prediction platform Kalshi, you can predict which project will be at the top of this week’s Netflix charts.
Here’s what you need to know before you start trading on Netflix Top 10 charts for the week of June 9.

Top US Netflix TV show this week?
Sirens dropped from the first spot to the second spot after three weeks, and American Manhunt: Osama bin Laden stayed in the top ten for the fourth week straight. As expected, Ginny & Georgia’s latest season has reached the No. 1 spot on the Top 10 television shows chart, with the first season entering the top 10 as well. For the week of June 9, two projects may challenge Ginny & Georgia for the top series: Fubar and Cocaine Air: Smugglers at 30,000 Ft.
Fubar (Season 2)
- Release Date: Thursday, June 12, 2025
- Runtime: 8 episodes — about 45-60 minutes each
Fubar is returning for its second season, two years after its freshman season premiered. The Arnold Schwarzenegger-led action comedy series topped the television charts in 2023. The first season garnered 88 million hours watched. Fubar was renewed less than a month after its release, and Carrie-Anne Moss is joining the second season of the show. With the success of the first season, it may be able to reach No. 1, but it will face tough competition from Ginny & Georgia.
Cocaine Air: Smugglers at 30,000 Ft. (Limited Series)
- Release Date: Wednesday, June 11, 2025
- Runtime: N/A
Netflix is constantly releasing docuseries, and Cocaine Air: Smugglers at 30,000 Ft. is their latest one from France. The series takes a deeper look at the 2013 case of when four Frenchmen were arrested for smuggling cocaine, but all of them claimed they didn’t do it. With competition like Ginny & Georgia and Fubar, it may be challenging for this docuseries to stand out.
What happened last week in movies (Top 10 movies)
- Straw
- Now You See Me
- Bee Movie
- Wrath of the Titans
- Now You See Me 2
- The Wild Robot
- Barbarian
- A Widow’s Game
- K.O.
- Despicable Me 4
Top US Netflix movie this week?
Tyler Perry and Taraji P. Henson’s Straw skyrocketed to the No. 1 spot on the Netflix movie chart last week, while K.O. was able to reach the No. 9 position. Surprisingly, Now You See Me and its sequel both made the top 10. Will this week’s new projects take down any of these films?
Get Hard (2015)
- Release Date: Monday, June 9, 2025
- Runtime: 107 minutes
This crime comedy stars Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart in the lead roles. Both actors are favorites in the comedy genre, attracting a broad audience. On its first day of release, it was the No. 2 project only behind Straw. It definitely has the potential of being high on this week’s Top 10, but may face some strong competition.
Trainwreck: The Astroworld Tragedy (2025)
- Release Date: Tuesday, June 10, 2025
- Runtime: 80 minutes
Trainwreck: The Astroworld Tragedy takes a deep dive into what led to the 2021 tragedy where 10 concertgoers died at Travis Scott’s Astroworld concert. They look at the security measures and other factors that may have contributed. This documentary may struggle to compete with Titan: The OceanGate Disaster, but the controversy surrounding it may boost its views.
Titan: The OceanGate Disaster (2025)
- Release Date: Wednesday, June 11, 2025
- Runtime: 111 minutes
Similarly, the projects that perform best on Netflix are those that are controversial. Two years ago, most of the world was focused on the Titan submarine and whether the people would be saved. Unfortunately, they weren’t, and two years later, this story remains vividly remembered by all. This documentary could perform well, but may face competition from Straw, which has been No. 1 on the daily charts for several consecutive days.
Plane (2023)
- Release Date: Thursday, June 12, 2025
- Runtime: 107 minutes
Plane is a 2023 action thriller film starring Gerard Butler and Mike Colter. Unsurprisingly, it’s one of those action movies that takes place entirely on a plane. Action movies featuring famous action stars tend to perform well on Netflix, so Plane definitely has a chance of ranking highly on the Netflix charts.
