New week, new shows, new movies, new Netflix binges. Last week’s Top 10 charts were filled with surprise competitors and winners. On Kalshi’s markets for Netflix Top 10 movies and shows, the users’ predictions were all over the place.

For example, Life or Something Like was the favorite at the beginning of the week, before Oklahoma City Bombing: American Terror took over and was at the top for most of the week. However, at the last moment, iHostage took the top spot.

This unpredictability gives users the chance to win large amounts. But remember to keep an eye out for the market rules.

Both markets are resolved when Netflix publishes its new Top 10. Importantly, Netflix ranks the projects by dividing the total viewing hours by the project’s runtime.

Here are the projects making moves this week.

What happened last week in TV (Top 10 shows)

  1. Ransom Canyon (Season 1)
  2. Black Mirror (Season 7)
  3. Raw: 2025 – April 14, 2025
  4. Bad Influence: The Dark Side of Kidfluencing
  5. The Glass Dome (Limited Series)
  6. The Gardener (Limited Series)
  7. Young Sheldon (Season 7)
  8. Ms. Rachel (Season 1)
  9. Love on the Spectrum (Season 3)
  10. North of North (Season 1)

Top US Netflix TV show this week?

For this week, multiple projects are trying to compete: You’s final season, Battle Camp, A Tragedy Foretold: Flight 3054, and Race for the Crown. However, last week’s champion, Ransom Canyon, is also putting up a fight.

On Tuesday, as per usual, WWE Raw was No. 1 because the event was on Monday. Black Mirror may still be on the chart, but it is unlikely to compete against newer shows and additions from this week.

You

  • Release Date: Thursday, April 24, 2025
  • Runtime: 10 episodes — about 40-60 minutes each

Based on the books by Caroline Kepnes, this massively popular psychological thriller is returning to Netflix for its long-awaited final season. You has performed very well in the past, including being the No. 10 most-streamed project on Netflix in 2020.

For its third season, the series was viewed for 1.73 billion minutes during the period from Feb. 6-12, 2023. Both parts of this season debuted at No. 1. This is by far the strongest contender this week, despite its release later in the week.

Battle Camp

  • Release Date: Wednesday, April 23, 2025
  • Runtime: 10 episodes — N/A

Battle Camp is Netflix’s latest series to combine the various reality stars from its other popular reality shows like Love is Blind and Too Hot to Handle. Netflix’s last series premiere featuring a collection of its former stars, Perfect Match, performed well on Netflix, with 24 million hours viewed.

However, Perfect Match is more of a dating series, while Battle Camp is a much more physical game for a huge cash prize. The power of other Netflix reality stars can boost its views and bring it to the top of the chart, but the lack of romance may hurt its chances.

A Tragedy Foretold: Flight 3054 (Limited Series)

  • Release Date: Wednesday, April 23, 2025
  • Runtime: 3 episodes — N/A

A Tragedy Foretold: Flight 3054 is Netflix’s next limited docu-series. Following the success of Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer and Oklahoma City Bombing: American Terror on the leaderboard in recent weeks, this series has a chance of performing well.

Given the series only has three episodes, it can take the top spot if it grabs the same audience. Of course, You is more of an international phenomenon, but it has ten episodes, which puts it at a disadvantage.

Race for the Crown

  • Release Date: Tuesday, April 22, 2025
  • Runtime: 6 episodes — 37-46 minutes

Race for the Crown follows the world of horse racing, and you might wonder why this series would be a contender for the peak position. Formula 1’s popularity surged when Netflix’s documentary series, Drive to Survive, went viral.

The same could be possible for Race for the Crown if it can capture the attention of fans who want to dive into the new world of horse racing. Of course, this would require a pretty niche audience and may be difficult.

What happened last week in movies (Top 10 movies)

  1. iHostage
  2. Life or Something Like It
  3. Oklahoma City Bombing: American Terror
  4. Despicable Me 4
  5. The Croods
  6. The Life List
  7. Lucy
  8. One of them Days
  9. The Passion of the Christ
  10. Sing

Top US Netflix movie this week?

While 2002’s Life or Something Like It was at the top at the beginning of last week, it did not finish the week there. The Dutch Netflix film original, iHostage, took the No. 1 spot in a surprising twist. On the first day of the tracking week, American Sniper took the first spot, but who will come out on top?

American Sniper (2014)

  • Release Date: Monday, April 21, 2025
  • Runtime: 132 minutes

American Sniper is a biographical war film starring Bradley Cooper and directed by Clint Eastwood. This film garnered six Oscar nominations, with one win, and is Eastwood’s highest-grossing film of all time.

The film dealt with some criticisms but was still well-received overall. While it was able to achieve the No. 1 spot on its first day, it‘s unclear if it will be able to keep it up against a newer film like iHostage or new additions from this week.

Bullet Train Explosion (2025)

  • Release Date: Wednesday, April 23, 2025
  • Runtime: 134 minutes

Bullet Train Explosion is a remake of the 1975 film The Bullet Train, and both are Japanese films. This is a classic action film taking place on a Shinkansen bullet train. The familiar genre, but a foreign environment, could draw in American viewers.

Havoc (2025)

  • Release Date: Friday, April 25, 2025
  • Runtime: 105 minutes

Havoc was first filmed back in 2021 and then had two weeks of reshoots in 2024. After a very long journey, the Netflix original action film is coming to the streaming platform.

Tom Hardy stars in the film, and the trailer has over 3.7 million views. In contrast, the trailer for Bullet Train Explosion had about 950,000 views. The anticipation was high for Havoc, which bodes well for it to be the No. 1 movie of the week. However, its end-of-the-week release date may put it at a disadvantage.

UnBroken (2023)

  • Release Date: Wednesday, April 23, 2025
  • Runtime: 85 minutes

UnBroken is Beth Lane’s directorial debut, and following the steps of her mother and mother’s six siblings who escaped Nazi Germany. It first premiered in 2023 at the Heartland International Film Festival but continued to run the film circuit in 2024.

Last week, Oklahoma City Bombing: American Terror was a documentary that performed well, and this one might do the same. However, it may be difficult for it to challenge its competitors for the peak position.

The movie markets are jumping once again with a whole weekend of watch time ahead. So grab your popcorn and get those predictions in, especially if you think a dark horse will take this week’s No. 1 spot.
