What to know:

  • The Super Bowl LIX halftime show, featuring Kendrick Lamar, will take place on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2025.
  • Prediction markets are taking bets on who Lamar might bring as guest performers and which songs he will perform.
  • While songs like HUMBLE. and Not Like Us are likely staples, Lamar’s extensive discography and history of collaborations make predicting his setlist a tall task.

Kendrick Lamar, a Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper with 17 Grammys, is set to headline the Super Bowl LIX halftime show. With hits spanning more than a decade, fans and prediction markets alike are debating which songs from his chart-topping catalog will make the cut.

Two of the Super Bowl markets on Kalshi are betting on who will appear at Lamar’s performance and what songs he will perform. Similar to predicting Super Bowl halftime time guest performers, it’s a gamble to know which song Lamar will choose from his vast discography.

Lamar has 57 Grammy nominations, along with 85 entries on the Hot 100 chart. He has a myriad of songs to choose from, but in many ways, these two Kalshi markets are connected. Who he will invite to perform at his halftime show will also inform what songs he will choose to sing.

Let’s take a closer look at which songs he will likely perform.

HUMBLE.

HUMBLE. is his most listened-to song by a long shot, and most well-known song by non-rap listeners. This is his song with the most streams on Spotify with 2.4 billion listens, close to 500 million listens more than his second-most popular song.

HUMBLE. was Lamar’s first solo song to hit the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100 chart – winning three Grammys for Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, and Best Music Video. While other songs are uncertain, this one will undoubtedly be a part of his set.

DNA.

DNA. is from the same album as HUMBLE. and was featured in the NBA 2017 Finals. It is also a song that many non-rap listeners recognize as one of Lamar’s biggest hits.

While the song did not chart as high as HUMBLE., it still hit the No. 4 spot, has an impressive 1.2 billion listens on Spotify, and is Lamar’s 5th most-streamed song on Spotify. While DNA. is not Lamar’s biggest song, it feels like it would be missing if he didn’t include it in his set.

All The Stars & luther

SZA has been a frequent collaborator with Lamar over the years, releasing multiple songs and gearing up for a joint tour in 2025. At the end of 2024, they released 3 songs together, Lamar’s luther and gloria and SZA’s 30 For 30

Luther is their most recent hit currently charting in the Top 10 on the Hot 100. All The Stars is their biggest hit and Lamar’s second most streamed song with almost 2 billion listens. The song was featured on the Black Panther soundtrack.

It seems likely that Lamar would include SZA in his show but also have her perform at least one of All The Stars, luther, and 30 For 30. Most likely, it will be a medley of two or three of their collaborations.

Not Like Us

Like HUMBLE., this song will definitely be included in Lamar’s set. This is his largest song of the 2020s and his most recent No. 1 on the Hot 100. It received five Grammy nominations, including Song and Record of the Year.

Note Like Us is the newest song among his Top 10 most streamed on Spotify, and is already at the No. 7 spot with over a billion streams. The song is widely acclaimed and named the best song of 2024 on multiple lists, including The New York Times, Pitchfork, and Billboard.

It’s part of the larger diss track battle between Lamar and Drake, and includes lyrics like “certified pedophile.” As a result, Lamar may only perform the chorus of the song or avoid certain terms that may be deemed problematic by the NFL sponsors.

Regardless, this monumental song is a lock to be featured in his set.

Money Trees

Money Trees is from Lamar’s major label debut album, Good Kid, M.A.A.D City. The song features fellow rapper Jay Rock, who was with Lamar at the same label, Top Dawg Entertainment.

The song is his third-most streamed on Spotify, and is also widely considered one of his best tracks. Complex named it Lamar’s No. 5 song, while Rolling Stones named it his No. 1 song.

While this song is a definite hit of Lamar’s, it’s not as certain to appear as Not Like Us. It’s likely to be part of the set, especially if Jay Rock participates in Lamar’s halftime show.

Family Ties

Unlike the previous songs mentioned, Lamar is a feature of this song rather than the main artist. Family Ties, a collaboration with his cousin Baby Keem, is Lamar’s ninth-most streamed song.

It won the 2022 Grammy for Best Rap Performance and the BET Award for Video of the Year. Lamar has toured with Keem in the past and may bring out his cousin for a quick feature of this song. This song has a chance of being included but it is a toss-up, so size your wagers accordingly.

Like That

Besides Not Like Us, this is Lamar’s other Hot 100 No. 1 in 2024, whichreportedly reignited the beef between Drake and Lamar

This was a result of a lyric from the song featuring Future and Metro Boomin, where he says, “the big three…it’s just big me.” The big three refers to Lamar, Drake, and J. Cole, and Lamar declared himself on top.

The song will likely be featured in the setlist, especially if Future and/or Metro Boomin are halftime show guests.

While songs like HUMBLE. and Not Like Us are no-brainers to be featured in Lamar’s setlist, most other songs all carry a degree of uncertainty.  One fan-favorite, Alright, which Lamar performed as a guest during the 2022 Super Bowl LVI halftime show, may be less likely to appear again.

This adds to the intrigue of what selections from his vast catalog he’ll bring to life. Ultimately, the challenge lies in curating a 12-to-15-minute set that captures the essence of Lamar’s artistry while being interesting to a national audience.
